SDMAC Foundation provides schloarships to both San Diego State University and California State University San Marcos.
The Campanile Foundation, on behalf of San Diego State University (SDSU) is pleased to enter into a agreement with the SDMAC Foundation to support the student veteran schloarships at SDSU. The total value of the first scholarship is $15,000 and the highest dollar amount scholarship at SDSU. The second scholarship will be a total of $2,500. These scholarships will provide support to students through the Joan and Art Barron Veterans Center at SDSU.
California State University San Marcos: In 2018, SDMAC Foundation announced the expansion of the Military Veteran Student of the Year to California State University San Marcos. SDMAC Foundation will award seven scholarships valued at $2,500 each to Veterans enrolled as full-time students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines at CSUSM in the 2019 calendar year. The scholarship bridges the financial gap after the GI Bill expires by providing funds for students to complete the fifth year of college that is often required for STEM degrees. This dollar amount was selected to positively impact a larger number of Veterans and, thus, maximize the visibility of the program among the Veteran community.
