The San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) has identified your organization as representing workers in essential sectors, as defined by Governor Gavin Newsom. For those of you who don’t know, SDCOE is the county agency that oversees the 42 public school districts and 124 charter schools in San Diego County.

San Diego K12 schools are preparing to open emergency child care for the children of essential workers, but we still don’t have a good sense from the workforce of what their needs are. Where do they live? When do they work? How much child care would they need? To address this, our team is developing a survey that we would like send to you to push out to your workers, but we wanted to first reach out to you to see who at your organization we should be contacting about this. Please let us know when you get a chance, otherwise we will follow up with the survey in the next few days.

Thank you! We hope you are your families are staying healthy!

Best,
