San Diego Military Advisory Council Foundation and San Diego State University
Celebrate 50,000 Military Attendees at Aztec Football Home Games

military ticket offices, redeem at SDCCU Stadium ticket window E

SAN DIEGO, CA, August 20, 2019 – The San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC) Foundation, a nonprofit
organization that supports the active-duty and retired military communities through program
initiatives funded by tax-deductible donations, and San Diego State University (SDSU) today announced
the attendance of 50,000 active-duty and retired military personnel at Aztec football home games. The
milestone will be reached at the August 31 Aztec football home game, which will be followed by the 44th
annual KGB SkyShow, a post-game firework show set to music.

The significant attendance of military personnel at Aztec football home games over the years is made
possible, in large part, by the continued collaboration between SDMAC Foundation, SDSU, and San Diego
area Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), and Marine Corps Community Service (MCCS) ticket offices
to provide discount ticket vouchers for active-duty and retired military personnel.
“SDSU is thrilled to celebrate the attendance of 50,000 active-duty and retired military personnel at Aztec
football home games,” said Lisa Pearson, Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and New Media at
SDSU. “We are grateful for the continued collaboration with SDMAC Foundation and the military ticket
office for supporting the attendance of the military and Veterans at our games.”

“SDMAC Foundation is elated to celebrate 50,000 military attendees at Aztec football home games,” said
Pete Hedley, President of SDMAC Foundation. “Featuring the largest concentration of U.S. military in the
world, San Diego is a military town. It is fitting that there be significant attendance by military personnel
at Aztec football home games. We are grateful to work with SDSU and the military ticket office to help
continue this tradition, and to positively impact more active-duty and retired military in our community.”
For more information and to obtain the discount vouchers, active-duty and retired military personnel can
visit San Diego area MWR or MCCS ticket offices, or call (619) 767-6000 to find a nearby location. The
vouchers can be purchased for $8 each and redeemed at SDCCU Stadium ticket window E for seating in
select sections. Advance exchange at the stadium ticket window is recommended.
